Lucy Morrell is the Junior Organ Scholar at Girton College, Cambridge, where she is currently in her second year reading Music. She became the Organ Scholar at her local Parish Church in Kemsing after beginning organ lessons at the age of 14. During this time, she was awarded prizes in the Kent County Organists’ Association Festivals in 2012 and 2015. Lucy attended the sixth form at St Olave’s Grammar School, where she played regularly for assemblies and also for the annual commemoration service in Southwark Cathedral. Lucy now studies organ with Anne Page, having previously had lessons with David Flood and Margaret Philips. In the past year she has attended masterclasses with Stephen Farr and Pieter Dirksen as well as attending an organ course in France, which included tuition with Alexis Droy and performing at Moulins Cathedral.
